Five Generations of Builders
Kevin Long is the fourth-generation builder in his family. His son Kyle is the fifth. His dad, Nevin, went out on his own in 1968.
Five generations. All builders. All Long.
Realtors used to list houses with a note: Nevin Long built. That was enough.

Built Around Your Vision
Every project starts with a conversation.
Some homeowners come in with full architectural drawings. Some come in with an idea and a salvage yard full of antique doors they’ve been holding onto for years. Either way, the job is to listen and figure out how to build around what they’re picturing.
Antonette had a builder lined up before she found Kevin. She knew exactly what she wanted, down to the wall panels. The other builder said no. She almost scrapped her entire plan.

The Details Matter
Long before drywall goes up, the electrician walks through every room with the homeowner. Where the bookcase goes. How wide, how tall, what lighting. Where the bed sits and where you’ll want to charge your phone at night.
Then he writes it all on the wall in permanent marker.
“It’s a kid’s dream. I get to write on the walls.”
Every mark gets covered up eventually. But it had to happen first. That’s the process — and it’s the same on every build.

Long Construction doesn’t build ten houses a year.
One project, full attention, start to finish. Kevin’s dad did it that way. Kevin does it that way. When you’re building the biggest investment a family will ever make, that’s not a limitation. That’s the point.
